Rhododendron

Rhododendrons rank not only among the most widely-grown and most impressive flowering shrubs, but also among the most demanding. The genus has close to 1,000 species and the diversity of flower shapes and colours is virtually endless. The palette of hues of the rhododendron is even greater than that of the rose. Nowadays it’s hard to imagine our gardens without this oriental beauty that has become an absolute must in every colourful garden. Despite the fact that it is very demanding as regards soil requirements, incorporating rhododendrons into your garden is well worth the effort. Particularly stunning varieties include Rhododendron Hybr. Cunninghams White, Rhododendron Hybr. Catawbiense Grandiflorum, Rhododendron Hybr. Roseum Elegans, Rhododendron yakushimanum and Rhododendron luteum.
